- What fascinates you most about Art as a whole?
- I love to experiement with colours, to get effects and perspective by shading and highlighting. Every painting always has me searching for perfection, to get the best out of my art that I can.
I love the process of painting seeing the finished painting emerge over time. This is the part I enjoy most. Once the painting is finished I am happy to part with it to someone else who will love it as much as I did as I painted it. Every one of my paintings has a little bit of my soul interwoven into it and I always hope the new owners will treat it gently and with loving respect.
- Do you treat a painting as a life-like being for in my opinion IT does have a massive heart?
- I do find that some paintings really reach deep inside me and they are the ones that tend to just flow off the end of my brush. There are always good and bad days when you paint, but some paintings really seem to be in a hurry to be finished and others take their time.
Each painting means different things to me and the person who eventually owns it, but it is amazing how often they express the same emotions about their painting as I felt when I painted it.
- Do you find solace in the gazebo we call Art?
- Always if I'm happy or sad I just pick up my brush and get whisked away to my own little slice of paradise.
